• Con-Way Appoints Canadian Manager

    Con-Way Transportation Services has appointed Richard C. Smith as general manager of Con-Way Canada Express, a less-than-truckload freight carrier based in Mississauga, Ontario. Smith will manage the daily operations and sales efforts of all the company's 27 Canadian service centers. Smith has been with Con-Way since 1995, most recently as a service center manager at the company’s Hamilton, Ontario

    Con-Way Transportation Services has appointed Richard C. Smith as general manager of Con-Way Canada Express, a less-than-truckload freight carrier based in Mississauga, Ontario. Smith will manage the daily operations and sales efforts of all the company's 27 Canadian service centers. Smith has been with Con-Way since 1995, most recently as a service center manager at the company’s Hamilton, Ontario terminal. He’s been involved in the transportation industry since 1987 and has a degree in business administration from Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He resides in Toronto.

    Con-Way Canada Express is an operating unit of Con-Way Transportation Services, a $2.1 billion transportation and services company, which, in turn is a subsidiary of $5.6 billion trucking conglomerate CNF, based in Palo Alto, Calif.
