Addition of truckload carrier in Spokane, Washington includes 33 trucks and 60 refrigerated trailers.

Kam-Way Transportation recently purchased Produce Supply Express, a Spokane, Washington-based company with 33 trucks and 60 refrigerated trailers.

Produce Supply Express was founded by John Hutchins in 1972.

“We welcome the Produce Supply Express (PSE) family to our Kam-Way family,” Kam-Way said in a Facebook post. “PSE will continue to operate under its current management. However, the Kam-Way Transportation leadership team will provide additional support so PSE can continue to provide top-notch service to its long-standing customer base.”

PSE, which provides trucking services in Washington, California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and Colorado, will share its Spokane terminal with Kam-Way subsidiary Rees Enterprises, the company added. Kam-Way, founded in 2008 in Blaine, Washington, boasts 226 tractors, 510 trailers, 325 employees, and five locations in Washington, California, and British Columbia, Canada.

“We will continue to innovate and grow organically and through acquisitions in this ever-changing world while trying to never lose sight of who we are and why we’re growing,” Kam-Way founder and CEO Kam Shiota told Business Pulse last year.

“It’s really all about our dream of building an amazing company that is respected by our driving staff, our customers and contract carriers and the public we serve.”
