Truckload conglomerate Celadon Group, based in Indianapolis, IN, has promoted Sergio Hernandez Aranda to vp and director general of Mexico.

Except for a three-year work assignment in the U.S. during his five-year tenure at Celadon, Aranda has been a lifelong resident of Mexico. He is a graduate of the University of Tepeyac in Mexico City.

Stephen Russell, Celadon’s chairman & CEO, said Aranda will be a critical player in preparing the carrier for future cross-border trucking operations with Mexico. "With over 250 Mexican citizens employed by our company and the recent enactment by Congress to open the U.S.-Mexican border, it is appropriate to have Arnada as part of the senior management team at Celadon," Russell said.
