TLC Transportation Staffing, a California firm that offers temporary and long-term contract truck drivers, said it would offer permanent placement of qualified drivers via a new headhunter program starting November 1.
"Our specialty has certainly been in recruiting and leasing top notch drivers for long and short term contract assignments," said Paul Driskell, CEO of TLC, whose company has placed truck drivers since 1975. "However, for the past several years, we've also received numerous requests to find our clients permanent placement employees. We now have a fully integrated program that allows us to do just that."
TLC will offer clients a choice of temporary or long term contract truck drivers or permanently placed drivers. Its employees, drivers who have the prerogative of seeking either local or long haul assignments, will now be able to do the same on a permanent placement basis, working for one company while permanently remaining on TLC’s payroll.
