Intermec Inc. has announced its support for Microsoft Biz Talk RFID. Intermec worked with Microsoft to test and refine Microsoft BizTalk RFID, which is designed to allow users to incorporate RFID information and data into a variety of applications and end-to-end business processes.

The plug and play functionality in Microsoft BizTalk RFID makes it possible for RFID devices, such as Intermec readers and printers, to be compatible with the Microsoft platform and to integrate with third-party applications and processes.

“Through our ongoing work with Intermec, BizTalk RFID will help make the development and management of RFID-based data and processes easier and more cost-effective,” said Burley Kawasaki, group product manager in the BizTalk Server product management group at Microsoft Corp.
