    ChevronTexaco rolls out new lubes

    ChevronTexaco premium grade Texaco Star gear lubricants 80W-90, 85W-140, which are geared toward operators running gear sets exposed to high temperatures and loads, are now available in North America.

    The products offer performance similar to synthetic at a much lower cost, ChevronTexaco said. Benefits listed include:

    • reduced wear on gears, bearing and seals
    • lower operating temperatures
    • compatible with conventional and synthetic lubricants
    • drain intervals more than double compared to conventional lubricants
    • potential fuel savings
    • meets all major OEM requirements
