Fleetworthy, Haas Alert expand real-time roadside safety alerts for trucks and drivers

Fleetworthy has recently expanded its partnership with Haas Alert to integrate real-time digital alerts that notify motorists when commercial trucks are stopped in unsafe locations and warn drivers of approaching emergency vehicles. The integration connects commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles, and public agencies to help reduce roadside collisions and improve driver awareness.

“Fleet safety means protecting drivers not only while they’re moving but during their most vulnerable roadside moments,” Martin Murtland, VP of product at Fleetworthy, stated. “By deepening our integration with Haas Alert, we’re extending digital protection beyond the cab and into the broader driving public, helping truckers reduce risk and proactively prevent severe crashes.”

Haas's Safety Cloud Protect product detects stopped trucks and sends alerts through connected vehicles and navigation apps, while Safety Cloud Alert delivers in-cab warnings for emergency responders ahead. Emergency vehicle alerts are currently available in about one-third of U.S. states, with plans for nationwide expansion and broader coverage for additional roadside hazards. Read more….

Bosch to acquire Uptake to expand AI predictive maintenance for fleets

Bosch plans to acquire Uptake Technologies to expand its AI-driven predictive maintenance capabilities for fleets and mobility services. The acquisition aims to enhance vehicle health services by combining Uptake’s predictive analytics with Bosch’s telematics and fleet ecosystem to reduce downtime and costs.

“This planned acquisition strengthens our position as a leader in data-driven mobility services. The AI capabilities from Uptake Technologies are a crucial element to expanding our predictive maintenance offerings and accelerating innovation for OEM and fleet customers,” Paul Thomas, president of Bosch in North America and president of Bosch Mobility Americas, stated.
