Phillips Connect names Mark Wallin president amid smart trailer growth plans
Phillips Connect recently named Mark Wallin president and GM as the company expands its smart trailer technology platform for enterprise fleets and autonomous freight operations. The company said its connected trailer solutions provide fleets with real-time intelligence on cargo, brakes, tires, trailer location, and equipment health.
“Smart trailer technology isn’t a nice-to-have anymore. What’s a differentiator today becomes a minimum requirement for how fleets operate tomorrow,” Wallin said. “Our job is to keep solving the real problems our customers wake up to, whether that’s tires, safety, cargo, or the shift toward autonomous freight, and to keep leading where this industry is going. I’m grateful to Rob and the team for the confidence, and I’m looking forward to what comes next.”
Over the past 18 months, Phillips Connect added DriverAssist, TrailerID, CargoVision Insights, Roadside Safety solutions, and the SolarNet 8000 series to its platform. Wallin joined Phillips Connect in 2024 after leadership roles at Verizon Connect, Telogis, and Kofax and will lead the company’s continued focus on connected fleet technology. Read more…
