USF Holland adds two terminals

Regional LTL carrier USF Holland Inc., a subsidiary of Chicago-based LTL conglomerate USF Corp., has opened two new terminals to beef up its service in Southern Minnesota and the Southeast.

To handle what USF Holland calls “ significant growth” in freight demand in the area around Minneapolis and St. Paul, the carrier purchased an existing 28-door terminal in Owatonna, MN along with five acres of land so it could expand the facility by an additional 32 doors.

A newly leased 17-door facility in Decatur, AL, will help USF Holland speed up freight flows in the Birmingham, AL, and Nashville, TN, markets, the carrier said.
