Cookeville, TN-based Averitt Express has expanded its presence in the West Palm Beach area with a new service center located there. Averitt officials said the expansion will lead to improved delivery times for shippers.
"We've been providing transportation service in West Palm Beach since 1993, but we haven't previously operated a service center there," said Phil Pierce, Averitt's executive vp of sales & marketing. "This new facility is an investment to expand our role in the West Palm Beach market."
Pierce says Averitt’s transit times are already among the best in the industry for service between West Palm and such pointsas Louisville, Memphis, Nashville, Dallas, Atlanta and Orlando.
The 7,000-sq-ft service center has 26 bay doors dedicated to Averitt’s operations and currently employs 24.
Averitt’s service offerings less-than-truckload, truckload, time-critical and importing/exporting.
