Heil Environmental has appointed Tim Tarte to the newly created position of gm for its OEM and aftermarket parts business, Parts Central.

Parts Central offers replacement parts for refuse and recycling vehicles, available through a local network of dealers. Tarte will focus on sales & marketing strategies and product development, the company said.

“We’ll build on Heil’s existing VOC [voice of customer] efforts to develop a deeper understanding of what our customers need in terms of replacement parts and services, and then will work to meet those needs,” Tarte said. “We will also be investing more in competitive analysis and supplier sourcing to ensure that Parts Central dealers have access to the best aftermarket parts available in a timely and cost-effective manner.”

Tarte, who has nearly 30 years of industry experience, comes to Heil from Fontaine International, where he was OEM business manager. He also previously worked for Cummins, Inc.
