Dave Manning, president of Tennessee Express and a longtime Intermodal Assn. of North America (IANA) member, has been elected chairman of the organization for 2012.

Manning succeeds Steve Rubin, principal at InterPro Advisory. He is a former chairman of the American Trucking Assns.’ Intermodal Motor Carriers Conference and currently serves on the executive committee of the Tennessee Trucking Assn.

The IANA board also elected Barry Michaels, vice president of intermodal operations at the Union Pacific Railroad Co., as IANA’s 2012 vice chairman.

Jenny Johnson, vice president of Intermodal Support Services, was elected treasurer.

“I look forward to working with Dave, Barry and Jenny in their new leadership roles,” said Joni Casey, IANA president & CEO. “They possess a diversity of intermodal freight transportation experience that will be extremely beneficial to the Association as we continue to promote the growth of intermodal services and advocate on behalf of IANA’s members’ interests.”
