Con-way names new senior vp & CFO

Con-way, Inc. has named Stephen L. Bruffett senior vp & CFO. A 16-year veteran of the freight transportation industry, Bruffett comes to Con-way from YRC Worldwide, where he was CFO.

Con-way, Inc. has named Stephen L. Bruffett senior vp & CFO. A 16-year veteran of the freight transportation industry, Bruffett comes to Con-way from YRC Worldwide, where he was CFO.

Bruffett began his career in the trucking industry as director of finance for American Freightways before moving to YRC in 1998, where he worked a number of management positions before being named CFO last year.

In addition, the company announced that Kevin C. Schick has been named to the newly created position of vp of operational accounting. Schick has been with Con-way since 1983, starting as a controller before being promoted to vp & controller of Con-way Transportation Services (now known as Con-way Freight) in 1989. He was named Con-way Inc.’s CFO in 2005.
