Drivers and Safety Technologies, the third webcast in the “Safety & the Bottom Line” series being presented jointly by FleetOwner and the Truckload Carriers Assn., is scheduled for May 5 at 2:00 p.m. EDT.

Safety experts Jim Cundey of the Kenan Advantage Group and Jay Blobner of Stagecoach Cartage & Distribution will discuss implementing a wide variety of onboard safety systems and getting driver buy-in to deploy them successfully.

Stagecoach Cartage & Distribution, a smaller, for-hire carrier, has been honored more than once for its outstanding safety programs, including receiving the TCA Grand Prize for Fleet Safety in 2007. Blobner will offer an insider’s look at the company’s path to safety excellence.

With more than 3,500 vehicles in the Kenan fleet hauling petroleum products, chemicals and food grade products nationwide, Cundey will bring his years of experience in hazmat and bulk hauling to the discussion.

The webcast, sponsored by Cadec, is offered free of charge, but requires participants to register in advance.
