NFI Industries has added a new brokerage division to its portfolio. NFI Transportation Brokerage, is an extension of the company’s brokerage operations, which it said have existed until now as a value-added service to existing customers.

With the new operations, NFI’s brokerage operations have been extended to the general transportation industry.

“NFI’s vast knowledge and capabilities give us an edge that most competitors don’t have,” said Jim Quinn, vp-NFI Transportation Brokerage. “There are thousands of transportation brokers out there, but the vast majority of them do not have the advantage of large, established trucking and warehousing networks to complement their brokerage capabilities.

“ NFI has cutting edge technology, significant warehousing and distribution resources; and deep experience and relationships in the trucking industry gained from our 77 years in transportation,” he added. “This all adds up to value for shippers of all sizes looking for a one-stop shop to meet their logistics needs.”

With the launch of the brokerage, customers can also track their freight online at http://www.nfitransportationbrokerage.com/.

The brokerage will use Aljex Software designed specifically for NFI.
