Motorists will experience delays and a detour on Highway 169 between Highway 62 and Excelsior Blvd. in Minnetonka, MN, beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, July 29 and continuing through the weekend.

The Minnesota Dept. of Transportation will be closing the highway in both directions for the removal of the Bren Road Bridge.

During the closure, motorists will be detoured to Highway 62, Highway 100 and I-394. The roadway will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1.

The bridge removal is part of the Highway 169/Bren Road interchange improvement project. The new bridge is expected to be open by November 2011.
