The new Fleet Executive eLearning Series of DVDs from Fleet Owner and Big Truck TV Truck launches next month with a detailed look at how innovative fleets are taking advantage of the industry's hottest new technology. Scheduled for release in February 2006, Truck Tech Review — The Wireless Revolution, is the first of six DVDs in the annual series.
Designed to help trucking executives quickly master complex topics, the subscription-based eLearning Series uses video to present basic information on a topic such as wireless technology or driver retention, followed by in-depth case studies. Each disc will also include sponsored service and product demonstrations, as well as online links to updated information on fleetowner.com, bttv.com and sponsor web sites. This media rich approach creates a library of resource materials that lives well beyond the initial viewing.
Volume 1, No. 1 in the series will examine the various fleet applications for wireless data technology, including asset utilization, security, customer service and TMS integration. Its case studies will provide insight into pioneering long-haul, private, bulk and service fleet operations, and it will include a basic tutorial on wireless technologies, systems and services.
Subsequent DVDs in the Fleet Executive eLearning Series will include: “The HR Report - The Looming Worker Deficit,” “Inside the Shop - Wear, Tear & Dollars,” “The Bottom Line - Maximizing Productivity,” “Safety & Regulation - Train, Train & Re-train,” and “Green = Green - Profiting in a Clean World.”
