Baldwin Filters’ facility in China has been designated a Weichai Power Test Laboratory. The designation means the facility is certified to test air and liquid filters for Weichai Power.
Weichai Power is a manufacturer of diesel engines in China.
“Over the past number of years there has been considerable investment in upgrading the laboratory equipment,” said Shaun Nel, director – China Operations. “A series of correlation tests have been completed to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.”
The lab is one of three Baldwin has, including operations in the U.S. and Morocco.
“All of our labs are full service with equipment to test air and liquid filters,” said Dan Arens, Baldwin Filters lab manager. “We continue to add capabilities to all of our facilities so we can respond more quickly to our customers’ needs and implement a faster product development cycle.”
Gaining the certification is part of a larger effort by Baldwin to attain national laboratory testing center certification in China, Nel said.
“We are proud to achieve this designation and look forward to achieving the national certification,” said Arens. “We continue to improve our capabilities to better serve our customers worldwide.”
Baldwin Filters, a Clarcor company, operates manufacturing, sales, and distribution facilities on five continents, producing over 6,000 lube, air, fuel, hydraulic, coolant, and transmission filtration products for most applications.
