C.R. England bumps up pay for over-the-road trainers

Carrier C.R. England has boosted pay for all training miles driven by company trainers working its national and regional divisions. The increase, which went into effect on Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, is 4 cents per mile.
Depending on tenure, this pay increase is an average of 14.5% increase over current pay levels, the company added.
“This pay increase goes to a group of men and women that have worked very hard to help us ensure that the future of our driving force is bright,” said Brandon Harrison, COO. “We appreciate and value the time Trainers invest in teaching, mentoring and developing our Apprentices' and we want them to value this responsibility. With this in mind we have increased the pay to help our Company Trainers achieve their goals and reward them for their hard work.”
