Reyco Granning has hired Raoul Steenekamp as vice president of engineering and Ramin Zarrabi as vice president of manufacturing.

Steenekamp has more than 30 years of experience designing chassis systems for the North American and International markets. His various leadership roles in the commercial vehicle industry have given him a firm grounding in: project management, cross-functional team building, strategic planning, operations, and customer service, the company said.

“I consider Raoul the ideal person to lead Reyco Granning's Engineering Department and achieve our product development objectives,” said John Stuart, president.

Steenekamp will oversee powered vehicle, trailer, aftermarket and advanced engineers as well as program management, validation and field service.

Steenekamp had this to say about his new position: “I am glad to be part of the Reyco Granning team. I look forward to continuing the drive to develop an engaged company with intense customer focus, and creating great partnerships and best in class products and service.”

Zarrabi is a manufacturing professional with 30 years of experience.  He has managed three manufacturing plants similar in volume to Reyco Granning and has been instrumental in the implementation of lean processes at a Fortune 500 company, the company said.

“Ramin has demonstrated the ability to leverage six sigma methodologies to drive quality and cost improvements; something I will be looking for him to do at Reyco Granning,” Stuart said.

Zarrabi will be responsible for production, production quality, shipping, manufacturing engineering, maintenance and compliance.

“I am honored to join the Reyco Granning team,” Zarrabi said. “This organization has been on a relentless growth and transformation journey for the past several years. I look forward to partnering with the entire team to build a world class manufacturing organization.”
