BeyondTrucks' TMS smart fuel card eliminates manual card management while reducing unauthorized fuel purchase risks

PHOENIX—Multi-tenant transportation management system provider BeyondTrucks unveiled a new fuel card management feature for its system during the Truckload Carriers Association convention.

The “smart fuel card management” in the TMS eliminates manual card management while reducing unauthorized fuel purchase risks, Hans Galland, BeyondTrucks CEO, said during a press conference at the Phoenix Convention Center.

EFS will be the first fleet fuel card provider to integrate with the BeyondTrucks system, launched this week. However, Galland said it can be integrated with any carrier fuel card.

“As the first fuel card provider to take advantage of these new capabilities, EFS will be able to offer fleet customers better control over purchases, reduced administrative work, and the ability to provide drivers with the payment flexibility they need on the road,” Galland said.

BeyondTrucks’ new innovative fuel card management features include:

    • Automatically activate a driver fuel card subject to pre-defined triggers, such as when they're hauling a load, and deactivate them when they're not on assignment
    • Instantly generate and send money codes to make money available to drivers directly through BeyondTrucks
    • Track advances and include them in driver settlement calculations
    • Update fuel consumption data for each driver, as customary in traditional systems for owner-operator drivers or IFTA calculations

Galland said the money advancements could help fleets cover driver hotel stays or lump repayments.

“As the central operating system for enterprise fleets, our integrations focus not merely on reducing tedious manual data entry, but providing load planners, dispatchers, and back office staff with the data that enable better decisions and translate into better actions,” Galland said. “Available on any fuel card, our fuel payment and cash advance management capabilities are a great example of how our platform is differentiated in its positioning.”

BeyondTrucks offers fleets a multi-tenant cloud platform with quickly deployable integrations and updates, cost-sharing, cybersecurity, increased data speed, and artificial intelligence.
