The Chicago Rawhide brand, known as CR in the bearings and seal industry, will now be known as SKF, according to an announcement from SKF headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. Products, employee positions, and facility locations will remain unchanged. There will be new product packaging, printed materials, and signage, however.
Beginning in June 2005, SKF will phase in new packaging with a blue and red SKF product brand mark in place of the CR logo. Packaging for seal products will be green. Certain product names such as Scotseal and Speedi-Sleeve will remain in the SKF product mix.
