    Navistar International Corp, the commercial truck, school bus, and midrange diesel engine producer, announced that Daniel C Ustian, president and chief executive officer, has assumed operating responsibility for the company’s truck group, effective immediately.

    The company said J Steven Keate, who had served as president of the truck group since June 1999, has left the company. Keate joined the firm in March 1995 as vice-president and corporate controller and led the development of the company’s five-point truck strategy. Before becoming president of the truck group, he headed heavy-truck operations.

    Ustian previously led Navistar International’s engine operation.
