Werner Enterprises Inc announced that it has become a certified member in the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) and Partners in Protection (PIP) programs.
The C-TPAT and PIP programs are part of the Free and Secure Trade (FAST) initiative jointly developed by the United States Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection and the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency.
As a member, Omaha NE-based Werner agrees to work with the governmental agencies to ensure safer borders to reduce the threat of terrorism within North America.
