Sales for the first quarter of fiscal 2004 were $990.1 million, a decrease of 1.5% from $1.005 billion in the prior year’s first quarter. Same-store sales fell 1.4% in the first quarter. The net loss was $1.8 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2004, compared with net earnings of $0.9 million in the same quarter a year ago.
