McLeod Software announces a new interface with SkyBitz trailer tracking software. SkyBitz's Global Locating System (GLS) joins an extensive list of trailer tracking interface options for McLeod's LoadMaster enterprise transportation management systems.

McLeod will use the SkyBitz trailer tracking system to give customers the ability to track powered and un-powered assets, allowing them to reduce capital expenditures through lost or stolen trailers and optimizing trailer utilization. The interface also provides carriers the opportunity to improve their customer service and increase detention billing to troublesome customers.

Features of the SkyBitz interface include updating new trailer positions by request; calculating estimated time of arrival, information for a current load; and monitoring and searching for trailers by ID Number, Group or by Location.
