Refrigerated warehouse association publishes 2002 directory

The International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (IARW) and World Food Logistics Organization has released the 2002 edition of its International Directory of Refrigerated Warehouses & Distribution Centers and Blue Pages. It contains 300-plus pages of descriptions profiling more than 1,100 refrigerated warehouses that operate more than 3 billion cubic feet of refrigerated storage space in more than 50 nations.

IARW also has issued the 2002 International Top 20 and North American Top 20 refrigerated warehouse and distribution companies listed by total refrigerated space. Combined space of the International Top 20 is 2.2 billion cubic feet (nearly 60 million cubic meters), and the North American Top 20 is more than 1.5 billion cubic feet (45 million cubic meters). IARW members represent 90% of available worldwide space and 97% of North American public refrigerated warehouse space.

The directory contains a “Blue Pages Buyers' Guide,” with information about members of the IARW Cold Chain Products and Services Council (CCPSC). Council members supply services and equipment to the refrigerated warehouse and food distribution industry.
