K Bruce MacDonald, president of Birmingham AL-based Transport Refrigeration Sales and Service Inc, says his company has purchased the assets of Carrier Transicold South Inc. This Carrier dealership has locations in Savannah GA and Knoxville TN in addition to a newly renovated 17,000-square-foot facility in the Atlanta suburb of Lake City GA.
The newly combined companies (including current locations in Birmingham, Mobile, and Tallahassee FL) have approximately 50 employees. MacDonald has been involved with Carrier Transicold as a dealer since 1988. He also has a majority investment in Sunbelt Transport Refrigeration LLP, headquartered in Tampa FL with branch locations in Orlando and Jacksonville. Future expansion plans are being developed as the company continues to develop it strategy and goals.
