Fresno CA-based food distributor Saladino's Inc has opened its second distribution center, a 100,000-square-foot plant in Ontario CA.

The firm, which distributes to restaurants from California to Idaho, ranks Subway restaurants as its top Northern California client. Ontario's Southern California location gives Saladino's the opportunity to acquire more of Subway's business in that region. It also provides access to potential routes in Phoenix AZ and Las Vegas NV.

Saladino's already has a 100,000-sq-ft DC and its corporate headquarters in Fresno, with more than 350 full-time workers on the payroll. The Ontario plant will boost the employee total to more than 400, with 100 trucks operating.
