    Volvo Logistics North America Inc has joined the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) SmartWay Transport Partnership, a national alliance to help reduce emissions from ground freight transportation.

    SmartWay promotes long-term cost savings, fuel consumption reduction, and efficiency improvement, thereby reducing US dependence on imported oil.

    Volvo Logistics North America will strive to contract only with freight carriers that invest in the latest emission reduction technology in their equipment operation.
