Peterbilt Motors Co, a division of Paccar Inc, tops the rankings of the J D Power and Associates Product 1999 Medium-Duty Truck Customer Satisfaction Study in the conventional medium-duty truck segment.
Based on interviews with more than 2,780 owner-operators and fleet managers of two-year-old medium-duty trucks, the study analyzes customer satisfaction with vehicle performance, product quality, interior and exterior design, dealer service, dealer parts, and manufacturer image.
Peterbilt ranks above the overall industry average and above all others in the conventional medium-duty truck market. Primary factors in Peterbilt's ranking are top customer satisfaction scores in vehicle performance, drivetrain, and warranty. Peterbilt also demonstrated strong performance in design and styling.
