• Compass takes Performance in good direction

    Performance Food Group’s Broadline division has been awarded a contract to provide service to Compass Group locations in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Midwest.

    Performance Food Group’s Broadline division has been awarded a contract to provide service to Compass Group locations in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Midwest. Performance currently has about $50 million in sales with Compass facilities in the Northeast. When fully implemented, the contract is expected generate more than $200 million in additional annual sales.

    Steven Spinner, chief executive officer of PFG–Broadline, said, “We plan to begin servicing a number of the new locations in August, with the remaining locations being added during the fall of 2004.”

    Performance markets and distributes more than 64,000 national and private label food and food-related products to some 48,000 restaurants, hotels, cafeterias, schools, healthcare facilities, and other institutions.
