XATA Corp has launched XATANET, a web-based fleet management platform that integrates Internet, global positioning, onboard computing, and wireless technologies via a modular and scalable architecture.
This platform allows users to install, utilize, and pay for only applications that benefit their organization. Customers can purchase only what they need and expand their use over time.
Vehicle Basic, the initial XATANET suite, has been in BETA testing for the past four months at several fleets and is now available for purchase. Additional application suites are planned for release throughout 2002.
