TruTac, a UK-based supplier of compliance software for PSV and HGV compliance control, says it recently took steps to bolster its credentials and further demonstrate its expertise in the safe and secure handling of customer data.
Adding to its ISO 9001 accreditation—the internationally recognized standard for quality management—TruTac was awarded ISO 27001 certification, which it maintained is the equivalent standard of recognition developed to help organizations of any size or any industry protect their information in a systematic and cost-effective manner, through the adoption of an information security management system (ISMS).
Commensurate with this security accreditation is another data-related credential in the form of Cyber Essentials: a simple but effective, government-backed scheme designed to protect organizations against a range of the most common cyber-attacks.
Another important recent attainment is G-Cloud 12 status, which is aimed primarily at users in the UK public sector. The service helps businesses find and buy cloud computing services from approved Government suppliers. For TruTac, this means official approval to supply the latest technology and innovation to the entire UK public sector, including TruTac’s expanding customer base of councils and other public sector-funded clients.
“Our ISO and Cyber accreditations serve to reassure vehicle operators that TruTac designs and delivers software solutions for them to manage compliance, data accumulation and analysis to the highest standard,” said Jemma James, TruTac’s commercial operations and marketing director. “Furthermore, our customers can be guaranteed provision of bespoke tachograph analysis, training and consultancy services, knowing their confidential information will always be safe and secure in our hands.”
Bolton, England-based multi-temperature specialist 3D International Haulage is convinced. The company recently added TruTac’s vehicle management product, TruFleet, to its compliance software system.
“We have 70 trucks on the TruTac cloud-based platform.” said Martin Rybka, senior transport manager. “All relevant driver, tacho and fleet information is in one place for instant checking and referencing and, of course, it’s good to know that everything remains secure at all times.”
Further testament to TruTac’s high standard of compliance products is the company’s unique attainment of ER (Earned Recognition) for the Drivers Hours (TruAnalysis) and Fleet Management (TruFleet) products. Awarded by the DVSA, ER is designed to help operators reach and maintain an accepted standard for drivers and vehicles across a prescribed range of key performance indicators. For their part, TruTac include ER reporting and dashboards as a standard feature for all customers, at no additional cost.
In 2020, TruTac won a Queen’s Award for Innovation in recognition of new software products for managing drivers’ hours and safety improvement.
