A Produce Information section will be launched soon, offering a complete listing for each produce commodity. The listings will range from fruits and vegetables to herbs and nuts, and will include details about produce availability, nutrition facts, and wholesale suppliers.

Providing jobs to about 10,000 people, the NYCPTM (also known as the Hunts Point Terminal Produce Cooperative) receives produce deliveries daily by tractor trailer, rail, and air cargo from around the world.

Consisting of six large buildings shaped as a rectangle, the produce market runs about three blocks long. The 125-acre facility features nine miles of railroad tracks and parking for more than 1,000 railcars and 600 trailers. The market has more than 40 produce wholesalers organized as cooperative businesses. It sells fruit and vegetables every year to more than six million consumers, with revenues reaching about $2 billion annually.
