ReposiTrak recently announced that Capital City Fruit has completed Touchless Traceability through its distribution center operations using the ReposiTrak Traceability Network.

The company, which provides food traceability, compliance, and supply chain solutions, helps produce distributors create and maintain traceability records as products move through distribution operations without requiring manual case-level scanning at receiving, putaway, picking, or shipping.

Capital City Fruit, a grower, shipper, repacker, and supply chain manager of fresh fruits and vegetables, implemented ReposiTrak Touchless Traceability to connect supplier-provided traceability records with distribution center product movement data.

The system is designed to support Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) 204 readiness by automating the collection, validation, linking, and retrieval of traceability data while reducing the labor requirements associated with manual scanning processes.

ReposiTrak's supplier onboarding program aims to support implementation by helping suppliers establish data connections, map information, receive training, and resolve data issues. The company provides additional support for suppliers with limited technical capabilities through its U.S.-based onboarding and customer support teams.

With Touchless Traceability completed through its distribution centers, Capital City Fruit is using traceability as part of its normal distribution operations rather than as a separate compliance process.
