Understanding the importance of giving back to the community, C R England Inc donated more than 700 backpacks, along with $15 Walmart vouchers to purchase school supplies, to students in United and Laredo Independent School Districts in Laredo TX recently.
A press event was held at Texas A&M International University with students representing both school districts present, as well as executives from C R England, school district administrators, and board members.
“We are pleased to be participating with both the United Independent School District and the Laredo Independent School District this year in our backpack and school supply donation program,” said Dean England, co-chairman of C R England. “These items with provide a direct benefit to the students in these school districts. It’s exciting to see the students receive these supplies, and we hope this donation will help in small ways to enhance this year’s school experience for each recipient.”
UISD and LISD superintendents expressed their gratitude for helping students and their families.
“This donation shows that C R England is a true community leader when it comes to helping our community. Our students and families will greatly benefit from their generosity. Thank you, C R England,” said Roberto J Santos, UISD superintendent.
“I want to express my appreciation to C R England for their donation of backpacks and Wal-Mart gift vouchers for 300 of our underprivileged children. Your generosity will make an immediate difference in the lives of students from both school districts,” said Dr Marcus Nelson, LISD superintendent of schools.
