Transportation and logistics provider Werner Enterprises (NASDAQ:WERN) announced the grand opening of its new Werner Logistics office in Laredo TX recently.
Werner Logistics welcomed associates, customers, carriers, and state and local officials to unveil its fun, new environment designed for the changing workforce needs in the logistics industry. US Representative Henry Cuellar (D-TX) presented a Congressional Certificate of Recognition to Werner Logistics in honor of the grand opening and joined Derek Leathers, president and CEO, for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“We are excited to have this opportunity to expand our vision for our Werner Logistics office and grow our talent pool,” said Matt Parry, senior vice-president of Werner Logistics. “This expansion to our premier facility also will continue to allow us to be the number one cross-border provider.”
The new office is at 13365 Port Drive in Laredo. The company anticipates the office will create 50 to 100 new jobs within the next few years.
