The California-based 3PL with a network of refrigerated carriers secures the National Association of Small Trucking Companies’ 2022 Best Broker of the Year award.

Third-party logistics provider Johanson Transportation Service (JTS), whose network primarily consists of temperature-controlled carriers, recently received the 2022 Best Broker of the Year award from the National Association of Small Trucking Companies (NASTC).

Thomas Hawker, JTS director for the Pacific Northwest, accepted the award Oct. 20 during the annual NASTC Conference in Nashville, Tennessee.

“It is a privilege to be named 2022 NASTC Best Broker of the Year, and we are grateful to be distinguished with this honor,” said Larry Johanson, president and CEO of JTS. “Small- to medium-sized carriers are the bedrock of our business, and we greatly value our NASTC members for providing the reliable, top-tier service that has earned us the trust of our shipping customers.”

JTS, headquartered in Fresno, California, helps companies manage their supply chains with truck, air, ocean, and rail intermodal transportation solutions. NASTC was founded in 1989 by David Owen and Buster Anderson to serve as an advocate for, and consultant to, small trucking companies across the country.

“The award recognizes the broker who demonstrates the very highest level of quality in partnership with NASTC member trucking companies and one who has a superior track record and credit history,” said David Owen, president of the NASTC.
