During 2012, Pressure Systems International, the manufacturer of the Meritor Tire Inflation System (MTIS) by PSI, increased permanent employment at its San Antonio TX facility by 23%, following a 21% increase in 2011.

The continued expansion of the workforce reflects year-to-year record sales of PSI’s automatic tire inflation system both for domestic consumption through its partnership with Meritor as well as growing worldwide sales.

Each December during the annual Corporate Cornerstone Coin Ceremony, temporary employees, who have been honing their manufacturing and communications skills at PSI, are offered a permanent position with the company. By accepting the position, he or she commits to the company’s philosophy of treating everyone with respect and chooses one of the four cornerstone coins by which PSI is guided daily: Never Give Up, Attitude is Everything, Whatever It Takes, and Dare to Soar. The coin reminds them that they can meet whatever challenges they face, whether personal or professional.

PSI sales in 2012 were the highest in the company’s history, and 2013 is expected to be even better. In the United States, 92% of fleets that use automatic tire inflation systems choose MTIS by PSI with about 36% of all new trailers equipped with the system. PSI has also opened markets in 39 nations and continues to increase sales worldwide every year.
