Teletrac Navman announced its new DIRECTOR ELD solution, which meets all currently published technical requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) electronic logging device (ELD) mandate. Teletrac Navman DRIVE, the in-cab ELD component of DIRECTOR, joins the FMCSA’s list of registered ELDs.
DIRECTOR ELD expands upon the company’s ELD Guarantee, promising DIRECTOR HOS (hours of service) customers no-cost firmware and software updates in accordance with ELD and any subsequent compliance changes.
For drivers, Teletrac Navman DRIVE is an easy-to-use suite of applications integrated into the in-cab Garmin device. To avoid HOS violations and take the guesswork out of compliance, drivers can proactively stay ahead of driving hours and breaks through audible alerts and post-trip feedback reports. Teletrac Navman DRIVE also includes advanced in-vehicle navigation with truck routing, two-way messaging and electronic Driver-Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR).
As outlined in its ELD Guarantee Program, Teletrac Navman will continue to upgrade DIRECTOR ELD customers with the relevant compliance specifications when and as they become defined, ensuring customers’ investments remain protected before and well after the December 18, 2017 and December 16, 2019 compliance deadlines.
