Stoughton standardizes WABCO’s EasyFit slack adjuster
Stoughton Trailers, which manufactures refrigerated, dry van and intermodal trailers, recently selected WABCO Holdings as its standard supplier for automatic slack adjusters.
WABCO is a global supplier of braking control systems designed to improve safety, efficiency and connectivity in commercial vehicles. As part of their agreement, which took effect in April, WABCO will supply Stoughton with its EasyFit Automatic Slack Adjuster, which it says features sealed and lubricated-for-life housing, and self-setting technology.
The “innovative” slack adjusters are designed to be routine maintenance free, WABCO said.
Every EasyFit adjuster is powder-coated for corrosion protection and fully sealed from road contamination and impurity ingress, leading to a longer service life, the company claimed. EasyFit also decreases the risk of hot runners by maintaining optimal brake clearance with gradual and more stable adjustments.
