Truck Parking Club has launched the ability for truck drivers to check rest stop truck parking availability across eight states at no charge to its members. The company has opened up its network of 143 rest stops across eight states: Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

The startup, which bills itself as “the AirBnB for trucking parking,” allows property owners to rent out extra space to drivers in areas such as extra spaces in trucking companies’ yards, tow truck companies, storage facilities, and more, Truck Parking Club CEO Evan Shelley told FleetOwner.

The 143 rest stops join 128 locations managed by hosts, many of whom offer added services such as overnight, multi-night, and monthly stays, and reserved spaces.

“Having little awareness of truck parking availability in real-time is one of the biggest issues with truck parking today,” Shelley said.

Drivers and fleets can sign up on the company website or on the mobile app.
