EnerSys has created an online calculator that shows the estimated cost savings of using an Odyssey 65-PC1750, 12V heavy-duty commercial battery vs. a conventional SLI group 65 battery.

To do a cost savings comparison, log on to the website, select the vehicle’s electrical load and amps, and then fill in the fleet’s defined variables—such as gas consumption at idle/gallons per hour, number of vehicles in fleet and number of batteries per vehicle.

“Since the Fleet Saver Calculator is customizable by fleet, it offers an accurate and convenient way for heavy-duty and commercial fleet managers to estimate cost savings comparisons between the two battery units,” said Dana Kowalski, marketing communication supervisor for EnerSys. “The calculator also provides information regarding the Odyssey 65-PC1750 battery’s environmental benefits by calculating greenhouse (CO2) emissions savings.”
