Nexiq has released a new handheld scanning tool, the Pro-Link iQ, designed to guide technicians through vehicle tests using simple menus and message screens. The system has a large-capacity hard drive, is lightweight and durable, and features a 8.4 in. color touch screen, the company said.
The Pro-Link is compatible with OEM engine and component system manufacturers with J1587 and J1708 compliant systems, which include models by Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel, International, Allison and Wabco, said Nexiq.
According to Nexiq, the system includes a trial period for OEM-compatible software applications, which can be purchased separately and updated via the Internet.
