Truckload giant J.B. Hunt Transport Services will equip its fleet of refrigerated trailers with a tracking and monitoring system developed by Par Technology Corp. The Par system is designed to provide trailer status, location, temperature, fuel levels, battery and movement history.
“We recognize the value of maximizing the utilization of our refrigerated assets,” said Debra Plumlee, director of application development for Lowell, AR-based J.B. Hunt. “Par’s tracking solution will allow us the ability to offer real-time refrigerated status and location variables while bringing a new level of value to our customers.”
Under the terms of the agreement, J.B. Hunt will roll out Par’s solution on a continual basis in support of its expanding refrigerated trailer fleet.
