Mobitrac 2.0 is a transportation management application that can analyze route operations and re-optimize them dynamically using real-time vehicle location information, as well as predict actual delivery times and automatically send alerts if delivery windows won't be met.
Used with wireless data services, the application can continuously re-generate profitable route plans throughout the day based on individual vehicle performance. Currently Mobitrac offers interfaces for Qualcomm and @Road wireless services.
The system also allows dispatchers to do on-the-spot cost/revenue analysis for any tendered load, looking at all available vehicles and clearly indicating the revenue impact for each, according to Mobitrac Inc.
The modeling engine used by Mobitrac can even be used to simulate a variety of scenarios and predict results based on predicted future vehicle locations and availability.
The developer is currently offering Mobitrac 2.0 on a hosted subscription basis intended for fleet locations with 50 to 300 trucks, according to Mobitrac CEO Mike Liddell. www.mobitrac.com.
