The Mobile Accident Camera/Crash Box, or MACBOX is an event data recorder that will video a “driver's-eye view” of an accident as well as vehicle operating information and location, according to developer Logistics & Management II Inc. The captured video, which includes 15 sec. pre-accident, impact and 15-sec. post accident, along with vehicle operating information can also be automatically transmitted to a remote secure data vault, the developer says.

The MACBOX is a 5-lb. unit that includes a full-function PC integrated, solid state flash memory, a GPS receiver, accelerometers, multiple sensor inputs and a wireless modem. The box is also connected to a 1-in. sq. remote smart video camera..
