Former Cadec Global, Xata exec brings experience to MiX

May 12, 2015

MiX Telematics has hired Pete Allen as executive vice president of sales. In his new role, Allen will be responsible for managing the customer experience, which includes building and leading the sales and account management teams, according to the company.

An industry veteran with more than 20 years of fleet management experience, the company said, Allen has contributed to the growth and success of several solution providers, including Cadec Global, inthinc and GreenRoad, and Xata Corp. (XRS).

Allen says that MiX Telematics’ unique “service for life” approach is the primary reason he decided to join the company.

“Having been in this industry for a long time, I know that customers desperately want a service that drives value every single day,” Allen said. “By providing solutions and resources that make a tangible impact – results customers can actually see – MiX really gets it right with the ‘service for life’ approach. We’re already bringing this offering to the market, and the feedback has been so positive – I’m really excited to help build this team and fuel the company’s North American growth.”

“With the addition of Pete, we’re expanding our team of industry executives that possess a wealth of North American market experience,” said Skip Kinford, president and CEO. “I’m confident that with Pete and his staff in place, we’ll be able to increase our presence in North America faster than ever before.”
