Teletrac Navman, a connected mobility platform and Vontier company, recently expanded its asset tracker portfolio with the launch of two new indoor/outdoor tracking devices.

The asset trackers, for indoor and outdoor construction assets, offer one-time-only installation for equipment operators. The tracker's 10-year battery life removes disruption and equipment loss from dead batteries and lowers the maintenance cost and challenges of installing new ones while assets are scattered across the field.

Further, Teletrac Navman’s AI-powered TN360 ACM platform will provide a single pane of glass view for real-time asset location. The TN360 ACM platform has been designed for asset and construction equipment management, providing visibility into location, maintenance, and utilization across powered and non-powered assets.

“From our own customers, we know that their operations are becoming more dispersed and challenging to manage, which in turn comes with the increased risk of asset theft, something that is costing the construction industry billions annually,” said Doug Haebig, director of product management at Teletrac Navman. “What they need is greater robustness and functionality, as well as improved connectivity to alleviate some of their operational challenges. Our two new devices will give asset managers the visibility they need to streamline and protect operations and give them the benefit of a prolonged battery life of up to 10 years, alleviating worries around loss of tracking, battery maintenance, and repairs.”

    The trackers' new features include:

    • Optimized performance with up to 10 years of battery life, for a true "install once" solution and low maintenance requirements
    • High-accuracy indoor and outdoor location management suitable for a wide variety of applications including trailer and equipment, warehouse asset management, and high-value asset monitoring
    • Global 4G network recognition, with 2G cellular fallback to ensure connectivity in remote areas
    • In case of theft, a "recovery mode" can be activated to help locate and recover stolen assets
    • IP68 and IK07 rated housing to withstand the harshest of environments
    • Self-install for easier deployment and usage across dynamic operational environments
